ACTOR, COMEDIAN, FILM FANATIC

Misha Molani is an actress and comedian based in NYC and Los Angeles. She grew up in rural Louisiana before attending the University of California, Santa Cruz to study Theater. After landing her first lead in the dramatic short, Soni, directed by Ivan Ayr, she starred in the comedy mini-series “Unfair & Ugly” which launched her comedy career. She’s since starred in the mini-series “Dating After College” with Justin H. Min, and acted for platforms like Funny or Die, Leenda D Productions, and WhoHaha, in videos collectively garnering over 2 million views. Since 2018, Misha has been writing and performing with The Bae*gency, an all women-of-color sketch comedy troupe. They've performed live at Hollywood institutions like UCB, The Comedy Central Stage, and The Pack Theater. In recent dramatic work, Misha starred in "Forgetting Caroline", an official shorts selection at the 2021 Austin Film Festival, and she is the lead in the feature, Feel Like Ghosts, winner of Best Screenplay and Best Director at the 2022 American Black Film Festival. You can catch her latest role as Hannah in the riotous Thanksgiving comedy, Fransgiving, now streaming on Amazon Prime.

 

Misha is the former Outreach Director for the Creative Minorities Initiative, a networking org aimed at advancing POC filmmakers and featured in the Hollywood reporter in 2019; she continues to use her platform to advocate for greater diversity and inclusion in the industry. In her down time, she loves to explore national and state parks, write film reviews, and keep people laughing on social media. She is currently living in NYC and on a mission to find the best hot dog in the city.
